FRAISA Annual Report 20/21

FRAISA online seminars More than just a short-term alternative February 2020: the “Catalog Training 2020” for FRAISA ap- plication engineers is fully prepared by the colleagues of the FRAISA ToolSchool for the implementation in the training cen- ter in Bellach SO. But with the coronavirus, everything is dif- ferent. All face-to-face events have been canceled. Despite the pandemic, it is important to ensure the transfer of knowledge all around the new tool catalog to the employees. And this across all companies and without time delay. Our team worked with high pressure on an alternative solution for the implementation: for the first time, the digital execution of a training was prepared. All seminar content was converted into a digital format and delivered online to the participants via a video conferencing tool. The feedback on this internal online seminar was so positive that we have transferred the new format to the customer seminars as well. The training course “FRAISA E-Cut – high-performance cutting made sim- ple” was the first one, and we were able to benefit from learn- ing effects from the internal online seminar. We have realized a total of ten online seminars in five languages on the tool technologies E-Cut and AX-FPS in 2020. We welcomed 878 participants from 31 countries. The online seminars have been recorded and can be viewed at any time. These videos record 1,120 views so far. Flexible, resource-saving, environmentally friendly and sustainable The advantages of digital training courses are obvious: our participants save time and money, as there is no need for long journeys or overnight stays. By eliminating the need for travel, the seminars are more environmentally friendly and the trans- fer of knowledge is sustainable thanks to the records being available at all times. For FRAISA, however, other advantages have emerged that have now become indispensable: On the one hand, the num- ber of participants in the seminars is no longer limited due to given space in the training facilities, and on the other hand, we have noticed that new customers from distant countries such as Brazil and India have taken part in the training courses. We draw a consistently positive conclusion from the online seminars in 2020: What began as a “stopgap solution” has turned out to be an optimal alternative or supplement to face- to-face events. In the future, online seminars will be an inte- gral part of our training offer. For our application engineers, the catalog training will again be conducted digitally in 2021. But we are also planning new training topics for our customers every two months, each of which will be taught online in five languages. ANNUAL REPORT 2020/2021 I PROJECTS [ 27 ]
