Our goal is to make our customers’ manufacturing even more pro- ductive and to further reduce costs. SX high-dynamic cutting (HDC) With the new SX technology, FRAISA presents an innovative milling system for processing stainless steels and nickel-based alloys. The SX high-performance milling cutters are specifically configured to successfully implement the highly dynamic HDC machining strategy. Increases in productivity and tool service life are achieved through many high-performance cutting edg- es — even the material removal rate can be increased by 20% with SX. The new high-performance penetration edge also makes plunging reliable and fast. XSpeed-H The new XSpeed-H tool type reaches its maximum perfor- mance when processing superhard steels and was developed specifically for HDC and HSC processing. Using this technolo- gy, feed rates can be doubled, which reduces production costs sustainably. The high number of cutting edges, with up to eight teeth, can achieve very long tool life. Special tool geom- etries and the very hard Duro-Si layer ensure long service life and universal operating conditions. Microcut With Microcut, FRAISA offers a solution for cost-effective pro- cessing of materials up to 55 HRC. The tool design focuses on the essential: The shape of the Microcut milling cutters was reduced to the absolute minimum. This gives the tools their outstanding stability and cost-effectiveness. In the manufacture of tools with the smallest diameters, moreover, a new, innovative technology has come into use that ensures the highest precision. Favora ® The newly developed Favora tool concept is economically un- beatable. It covers a wide range of applications and compo- nents and distinguishes itself with its high performance. Tool life was increased by 50% compared to the previous model. Its optimized geometry now makes HDC processing possible. The new Favora tools bring various advanced technologies into use without even raising the price level and special edge condition- ing produces extremely smooth cutting edges. The optimized polished tooth section results in a highly stable cutting edge with nearly perfect chip removal. Xtap With six-axis grinding technology, the tap from Xtap opens new possibilities in geometry for maximum universality. The tool was specifically developed for use on CNC-controlled machines. Universal usability reduces the count of tools and increases efficiency. The innovative new AlCrTiN coating is very wear-resistant because of its high coating hardness and reduced process temperature. With Xtap, FRAISA offers a per- fectly adapted system for top performance, tool life, and pro- cess reliability in thread-cutting. [ 37 ]
